What is a blem? Blem means blemished in some way. This knife did not pass our quality control inspection for some reason, such as flawed grind lines, scratches, uneven finish, and general imperfections. Some were used for experiments in-house that gives the blade a unique finish. These knives just weren't good enough to stick our lifetime warranty on, but at the end of the day they are still safe and perfectly usable knives.
All those extra savings means they aren't covered under warranty. You'll notice our unique smiley face on the backside of the blade. We call this our blem mark that let's you know it's a factory second.
