Want to nerd out with me for a minute? The James Webb Telescope has been taking wild images from the galaxy. Get this: the pictures on the side of this pocket knife are 7,600 light-years away. Light years, amigos! That's mind boggling. This picture is from the Carina Nebula called NGC 3324, and it was imaged by Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera and Mid-Infrared Instrument. From NASA: "this image reveals for the first time previously invisible areas of star birth." Invisible areas of star birth?! Whaaat?!!! Amazing.

When the first pictures from the James Webb Telescope came out, we couldn't help but slap one on the side of a knife. The mountains and valleys of these Cosmic Cliff scales are speckled with glittering stars. They're a little reminder that the universe is bigger than just what we see in front of us.
