Warranty

Knafs Limited Lifetime Warranty

At Knafs, we offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the factory under normal use. Our products are designed and built for use as cutting and sharpening tools, as well as products for maintenance and storage. Knafs products require proper care and maintenance to function correctly. Use of Knafs products outside of their intended purpose is considered abuse and is not covered under warranty.

Whatโ€™s Covered:

  • Defects in materials and workmanship
  • Issues arising from normal useโ€” i.e., cutting, slicing, whittling, dicing, carving, and good olโ€™ fashioned fidgeting

Whatโ€™s Not Covered:

  • Abuse โ€“ Using your knife to pry, throw, baton, spine whack, etc., is considered abuse and is not covered under warranty
  • Misuse Damage - Damage from assembly/disassembly (stripped screws, lost parts, etc.) is not covered under warranty. Damage caused by an outside party (loaning your knife to someone who abuses it) is not covered
    • If your knife stops functioning properly, stop using it and tune it up. If youโ€™re stuck, email us at info@knafs.com
  • Blem Knives/Products - ย Blem means blemished in some way. Still a safe and usable, just not covered under warranty. No returns. This is what you get for a cheap knife, Amigos.
  • Engraving-Related Issues - Engravings are beautiful but expose material, which can lead to rust. Misspelled words, names, and phrases input by the customer are considered the fault of the customer and will not be warranted
  • Loss or Theft

Maintenance Matters:

Regular maintenance goes a long way:

  • Clean, oil, and sharpen regularly.
  • Use thread locker when adjusting screws to keep them secure.
  • Store in a dry place to prevent rust.

Disassembly Disclaimer:

We get itโ€”tinkering is fun! Youโ€™re welcome to take apart your knife, but be warned: disassembly carries risks. Stripped screws, lost parts, or incorrect reassembly can all cause issues. Think of it like changing your carโ€™s oilโ€”great if you know what youโ€™re doing, but not covered under warranty if something goes sideways (like your thread alignment).

ย

Troubleshooting First:

Think somethingโ€™s wrong? Stop using the product and contact us at info@knafs.com.

Before sending anything back, weโ€™ll help troubleshoot. Often, a quick fix at home can get things running smoothly without the hassle of returning the product. If troubleshooting doesnโ€™t resolve the issue, weโ€™ll walk you through the next steps for repair or replacement.

Bought from a Third-Party Retailer?

If you purchased your Knafs product from a retailer other than Knafs.com (e.g. a knife store/dealer or Amazon.com), no problemโ€”you can still request warranty service through us!
Please note: youโ€™ll need to provide your own shipping label when returning your warranty claim.

ย

Third-Party Products (WE Knife Co., CIVIVI, MKM, etc.):

Some Ben Petersen designs, like the Banter, Sendy, and Yipper are produced by other manufacturers. For warranty issues with non-Knafs products, please contact the original manufacturer directly. Youโ€™ll find all the contact info here:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Warranty on Non-Knafs Products

If you purchased a third-party product directly from Knafs.com and it arrived defective, youโ€™re welcome to return or exchange it within 30 days. See our Return Policy for details.

ย

Legal Schtuff:

Knafs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or special consequential damages related to the use or misuse of our products. By using our products, you assume the risks of a sharp blade and the consequences of using it in ways it is not intended to be used. (Basically, donโ€™t do anything dumb with your knife, and weโ€™ll all be happy.)
