The Lander 5 is a budget-friendly EDC built for everyday use. With a 2.13″ blade, sturdy frame lock, thumb hole opener and deep-carry clip, it’s the perfect first knife for scouts, your co-worker just getting into EDC, or your neighbor Larry. Affordable, reliable, and always ready to roll. This guy launched on Kickstarter, but sign up to get notified when it launches to the public.

THE Lander 5 (Black Stonewash)

The Lander 5 is meant to be a first knife. The perfect knife for smiley, 12 year-old kids that will inevitably lose the thing. It features a frame lock, thumb hole opener, 8CR14MoV steel with a cold forged steel handle. But the best part? This is a cheap knife, but still a quality option.

Ben spent his early teens in the Boy Scouts (still has the scar on his thumb from a gnarly Swiss army knife cut first day of scout camp as a 12-year-old). He's now spent the better part of 15 years working with youth who love to camp, explore, and use pocket knives. We designed the Lander 5 for them and anyone else who needs a solid, affordable tool.

Enter the Lander 5. It's for the kid just learning to whittle. It's for your neighbor Larry who likes knives, but enthusiastically ruins them.
